Honorary Artist of the Russian Federation (1970)
Member of the Moscow Artists’ Union (1943)
Founder of Dankov picture gallery called a “small Tretyakov Gallery” (Lipetsk area) (1968)
Awarded with the Yuri Gagarin jubilee medal (1984)

1933–1936 – made studies at the Memory of 1905 art school, Moscow 
1936 – enlisted in the painting department of the Surikov Art Institute after the 
recommendation of Igor Grabar
1942 – was evacuated to Samarkand,
graduated from the Surikov Art Institute  
1943 – enlisted in the army and sent to the front, joined the art studio of the Commissariate for Internal Affairs headed by Pavel 
Sokolov-Skalya
