Romanticists in Realistic Art present their paintings at Moscow Artists’ Union Is Seventy-Five

From 15th till 27th of January 2008, the exhibition "the 75th Anniversary of the  Moscow Artists' Union"  held in the Central House of Artists.

Moscow Artists’ Union celebrated its seventy-fifth anniversary in 2007 by mounting over one hundred jubilee art exhibitions of which the one at the Central House of Artists became the culmination event. The exhibit includes more than six hundred paintings. Romanticists in Realistic Art, among whom Vladimir Shcherbakov, Vladimir Telin, Sergei Galrilyachenko, Yuri Grishenko, Nikolai Zaitsev, Igor Orlov, Gennady Pasko, Valery Polotnov, Alexei Sukhovetsky and Alexander Tsyplakov make the bulk of the exposition.

The exhibit has become an important event in the cultural life of Moscow, being more than demonstration of Moscow’s painters’ achievements but of the stylistic features of a whole epoch.
